More Girl Gamers than Ever!
The title kindof says it all but I’ll try to elaborate a bit.
According to a recent study by NPD Group, there are more female gamers than ever before (around 28% of console users) which is quite impressive. That’s roughly a %5 increase from 2008 and with more and more people getting into gaming that’s even more impressive. These figures were taken from a sample group of 20,000 people who were ages 2-65.
I’d have to say that the wii, DS and games such as guitar hero and sing star have helped achieve this. good going!
And with this increased number of girls playing games, that also means an increase in Console Cuties! (well, unless they’re all ugly anyway). So keep an eye open for more interviews coming soon!
