Cutie Interview- Yuna
Another day another cute gamer girl. What a hard job the Console Cuties team have… Lets welcome Yuna to the fold- this is one serious Warcrafter people!

a classic for me in tetris on gameboy and a current fave is WoW
THE INTERVIEW
Console Cuties: Hi there Yuni. Another gamer with a Japanese nickname- is there a story behind Shoukanshi? What made you pick it?
Yuni: Shoukanshi is actually the Japanese word for “summoner” it’s an inside joke between my friends after the final Fantasy X heroine, Yuna 
CC: Ah clever. So you know what you’re talking about it seems. Good good. When did you get into gaming and how?
Y: I’ve been interested in gaming for as long as I can remember- my earliest memory is being three or four and my dad playing on the Atari or Original Gameboy at Tetris. I was addicted to the music so I used to ask him all the time for turns! I adopted an atari console boxed (!) with all original packaging etc at the age of 5 … for 50p at a car boot sale.
CC: Bargain! Guessing the rest of your huge range of consoles weren’t so cheap though… Which one of them sees the most action?
Y: Most recently my N64 and my PC. I’m one of the millions addicted to World of Warcraft (For the Horde!) But I’m also a huge fan of F.E.A.R, The Sims 2 and Counterstrike: Source As for my N64 I loved Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of time and after all these years I admit, I still know all the ocarina tunes off by heart ^^
CC: Geek- and we love it! So even after all those top games one of your favourite is still Tetris. It seems to be having a bit of a revival at the moment- did you ever get a ludicrously high score, or get addicted to playing for long periods of time?
Y: I played it when I was so young so I didn’t really know what I was doing. I do actually want to get myself a new copy and have a go though 
CC: Speaking of addictive game play- What’s your World of Warcraft character, and how much time do you spend in the WoW universe?
Y: I’ve played for four years on various characters and servers. I’m a blood elf mage (accurately) named Yunie on Saurfang EU (feel free to come say Hi ). I’m a guild master, so I do spend a fair amount of time on there, from raids to world PvP- I love it all! I probably don’t want to admit how much of my life the game takes over 
I was also at Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in June 2008
CC: Wow- so pretty serious about it then? Guys- get your self introduced! So if you take all the games you play, what elements would you combine to create your ultimate game?
Y: Lets see:
Landscape: a large variety of zones of all styles much like World of Warcraft.
Enemies: enemies from Halflife 2 and F.E.A.R
Missions: a cross between Call of Duty: modern war; Halo and Pokemon 
Boss fights: with influences from all of the Zelda games and Starfox adventures!
Gameplay: FPS, MMORPG, with a hint of marioparty-eque multiplayer and Okami “brush-screen” interaction!
And to top it all off an amazing storyline that never gets boring no matter how many times you play it
I could probably list thing’s all day and night so I think I shan’t ramble! 
CC: Sounds like one hell of a game. Although now I’m picturing Mario in Master Cheif armor… Moving quickly on. Our classic questions- If you could be any video game character for a day, who would you be?
Y: A pokemon trainer I’ve a huge weakness for the games I’d love a world with real pokemon. I’d have dragon types
CC: Me too, as evidenced by my Jesse cosplay efforts! (Think they still need posting actually…) Are there any games you’re looking forward to at the moment then?
Y: Currently I don’t think there is- the last game I bought was Animal Crossing: Let’s go to the city for Wii. I bought it mostly just to chill out on when the others get overplayed I haven’t been keeping track of upcoming releases so much recently. I’ve been so busy
CC: One for the classic then eh? What do you think about the girls can’t game stereotype?
Y: I couldn’t possibly agree! I’m an only child so I had no influence from siblings it was purely my own interest. We’re a rare breed I agree but the world shouldn’t put us all under the vain/preening/bitchy stereotype girls have. We’re laid back; we’re here to kick ass, beat your high score and eat pizza
CC: Whoo- bring on the pizza! To round off a fabulous interview then: Why do you want to be a console cutie?
Y: Honestly? Curiosity! I wanted to see what being a console cutie is all about It’s also a good place to meet other girl gamers and see some interesting articles
Well, its mostly about showing the world the real face of girl gamers and proving that we’re not airhead models without a clue or girlfriends who are desperate for attention.
