Nickname/Gamertag: I don’t have a gamer tag but my online nickname for cosplay is “Leonie Heartilly” or otherwise “Andserkiel” is my main internet alias.

THE INTERVIEW
Console Cuties: Hey Leonie, welcome to the site. So you’ve got the PS2, and the PSP- thinking of buying the PS3? Or a Wii since you have the gamecube and the ds?
Leonie: I do want to get a PS3 eventually but the cost (and the fact I have so many PS2 games to still complete!) is putting it on hold for the moment. I played my ex bf’s PS3 however. I have a copy of “Folklore” now and nothing to play it on oooppss. There is a Wii in my house but it isn’t personally mine and to be honest I don’t get on well with the way the remotes work, sometimes my hand-eye co-ordination goes a bit off!
CC: Hear that guys- any eligable PS3 owners out there?! Whats your attraction to FF8?
LS: It was the first game in the Final Fantasy series that I played so that’s where some of my hold to it comes from. I enjoyed the story line (c’mon Sorceresses!) and especially the journey of love between Rinoa & Squall. The fully-animated movies were something I had never seen in a game before, the music is gorgeous and Selphie & Irvine are adorable!
CC: Makes sense to me. So are you purely an RPG person, or do you enjoy other games too?
LS: I mainly play RPG’s as they hold most interest to me but I also like rocking it out on Guitar Hero and Singstar and the classic adventure platforms like Spyro the Dragon! That little dude is awesome.
CC: ‘Spiro’ was the first thing I downloaded when I got my XBox 360… *cough* Sorry. Whats the story behind ‘Andserkiel’?
LS: “Andserkiel” is apparently my name in Elvish according to some name website generator haha. It’s probably a load of rubbish but it became my internet alias and it works well as no-one else uses it! I even created an original Elivish character to cosplay based on the name.
CC: How did you get into cosplay? What’s it involve for you? (Is it a fun way to go out drinking, or are you more into the entire scene?)
LS: I got into cosplay through other friends introducing it to me not long after I started getting into Japansese animation and manga. Cosplay tends to go along with that territory. Cosplayers who take their hobby seriously tend to make their own costumes, go to conventions with like-minded people and even enter competitions and masquerade’s to show off their work. I’ve been cosplaying for over a year now and I’m getting more involved in the “scene”. You can see me at the London MCM Expo’s and I shall be attending Ayacon this year hopefully also.
CC: Be looking out for Leonie there guys. What do you think about the girls can’t game stereotype?
LS: I hate it, it’s so judgemental! I work in GAME and a male customer once refused my help and asked a male colleague instead as he assumed I wouldn’t have the knowledge to help him. I was so offended! I may not know all the ins and outs of everything in the gaming world but I certainly play enough and sell enough to not be oblivious! Many girl gamer’s could kick a guys butt!
CC: Right on! Guys- take note. Girls CAN sell games as well as look hot while we play them. Whats your next game purchase going to be? Looking forward to anything particular?
LS: Final Fantasy 13 is going to be huge but I need the PS3 for that first lol. There’s a few Kingdom Hearts games in the making and also Saw the game! I love the Saw films so can’t wait to see how that turns out.
CC: Creepy I hope. If you could be any video game character for a day, who would you be? Please not Jigsaw…
LS: Easy. Rinoa Heartilly- FF8. Haha I’m predictable
CC: And have you cosplayed your character for a day? (Ever taken home the appropriate partner? ;p)
LS: I have cosplayed as both Rinoa and Selphie from FF8 and I have a Kairi from Kingdom Hearts II cosplay in the making also. I haven’t taken a partner home but I did have a photoshoot with the cutest Leon (Squall in Kingdom Hearts series) cosplayer. He had such bright blue eyes! XD

LS: I hate both stererotypes- that either girl’s don’t game or those that do are ugly nerds lol. Also I think it would be an interesting thing to tell people “Hi I’m a console cutie” Maybe I am just a little mad? haha
