Cosplay at Comiket 77
For those of you who like your Cosplay and know what Comiket 77 is, you’ll know that it took place in December and for those of you with any common sense you’ll know it’s now January but I’ve been away for a while (posting that is, I still need a holiday!) so this is the 1st chance I’ve had to actually post some pics from the event.
For those who have no idea what Comiket is, here’s what Wikipedia has to say on the matter:
Comiket , otherwise known as the Comic Market, is the world’s largest handmade comic book fair, held twice a year in Tokyo, Japan. The first Comiket was held on December 21, 1975, with only about 32 participating circles and an estimated 600 attendees. Attendance has since swelled to over a half million people. It is a grassroots, DIY effort for selling dōjinshi, self-published Japanese works. As items sold in Comiket are considered very rare (because dōjinshi are seldom reprinted), some items sold at Comiket can be found in shops or on the Internet at prices up to 10 times the item’s original price.
The website Moeyo.com has been posting a steady stream of pics from the event and here are a few of our favs, We’re sad that we couldn’t be there, but hey… there’s always the next one right?
Enjoy people!
